Whitney and Becky moved to the Kansas City area more than 20 years ago, looking to start their own company. Whitney had worked as a contractor in every aspect of construction, but framing was his forte. Therefore, when he arrived in Kansas City, he started a framing company, which he still owns and does the framing for the homes he builds as well as for other well-known Kansas City homebuilders.

"During all those years as a framer, I had no control over the end result," Whitney says. "I wanted more control on the end product. It started by building my own home and then a neighbor's and just grew from there."

Since 1999 Greg Wagner Homes has worked tirelessly to give home buyers in the Johnson County area the personalized attention they deserve.

Our superintendents average 20+ years of experience in the building profession. Gerry Starr has dual engineering degrees from the University of Missouri and brings this knowledge to the table to improve the design of each of our homes. Kit Starr has an MBA from Creighton University and a Bachelors Degree in a triple major of Business, Economics and Accounting from Graceland University. Prior to starting the home-building business, he was a project manager for a corporation with a primary focus on purchasing and commercial building. The business got started when friends began to ask us to build their homes and it grew from there.

Gerry and Kit oversee the construction of each home personally as well as working closely with very skilled site managers and superintendents. They understand the value of communication through the building process and they want their homeowners to feel they are actively involved. At the end of the homebuilding process, we hope to have won a new friendship as well as a happy customer

Mike Feldman started in the building business, and was officially licensed in February of 1988. Working as Chief Operations Officer for a high volume home building leader and over 600 homes completed in the Kansas City area.
